Viva Eve was born out of one simple belief: that there has to be a better way to approach women’s healthcare. A patient’s healthcare journey was fragmented, disjointed—rushed doctors, multiple visits to different specialists and offices, and a lack of education on her options were unfortunately all too common. We wanted to change that.

“The simple fact is we think that healthcare, in many ways, is a little broken. I think the latest stats we’ve seen is about 25 women are satisfied with their Ob/Gyn experience,” says Dr. James Gohar.

Meet our Founders

“My name is Nehal Farouky, I’m the President and Co-founder of Viva Eve,” says Nehal. “My name is Dr. James Gohar, I’m the Co-Founder and CEO of Viva Eve,” says Dr. Gohar.

Our Story

“You know I grew up in a medical family. My mother was a physician, my father was a physician as well. Ultimately it started with very humble beginnings. We started just as an Ob/Gyn practice and I think at some point, we realized, look you can help one person at a time – or you can help 10 or 20 or 30 at a time, and then multiply that impact.

The way we describe it is, we want to reinvent women’s healthcare and I think that’s exactly what we’re doing. We want every woman that comes in to see us to feel very heard, very understood, and we want them to feel like they got all their questions answered.”

A New Level of Care for Women

“I’m a therapist, I’m a psychologist, so I was always used to taking care of people,” says Nehal. “I look at what do women want when they come into a space? What do they want from their experience when they come in with the doctors or the front desk?

We make a very big effort for our patients to walk out of here feeling like they spent a lot of time with our providers, so we do provide extra time with providers. That’s something that you don’t see very often in the healthcare field.”

“We don’t send our patients out to go do blood work or do their imaging, or even to see some of their fibroid specialists,” says Dr. Gohar. “We try to make sure that as much as possible we integrate the different components that are likely to make a real impact on our patients.

As we continue to evolve and grow as a group, we find that there’s just certain things that really require more attention. Attention to detail, attention to our team, our people, our patients. So much of what we do has been geared around this idea of creating that human connection. You know, we try to make sure that their experience is warm and wonderful and they walk out of here really feeling like they were heard they were seen and i think that’s something that’s very important to us here.”
