“There has to be a better way.”

Viva Eve was born out of one simple belief: that there has to be a better way to approach women’s healthcare. A patient’s healthcare journey was fragmented, disjointed—rushed doctors, multiple visits to different specialists and offices, and a lack of education on her options were unfortunately all too common.

We wanted to change that.

Tracing our roots back 35 years.

Though Nehal and I opened Viva Eve in 2016, our roots trace back to 1986, when my mother, Dr. Solaima Soukkary, opened Forest Hills Medical Services with a vision of providing personalized medical care.

When I took ownership of Forest Hills Medical Services almost 30 years later, we continued the original vision of personalized medical care, and invested in new technology and modernized processes in our commitment to continually improve.

But our work was hardly done–there was a disturbing lack of options presented to patients for the treatment of fibroids.

Founded by an expert doctor—and patient.

My wife, Nehal, and I joined forces to find our “better way.” We studied treatment after treatment, service after service, underscored by the belief that data should fuel our wisdom. Finally, after years of research, we started to offer Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) treatments at our original Viva Eve location.

Unlike a hysterectomy, UFE is a non-surgical, minimally invasive alternative that results in fewer recurrences of fibroids and preserves the patient’s uterus—with no hospital stay. We realized that because UFE is usually performed by a separate medical specialist, many women’s health doctors didn’t even present UFE as an option for fibroids treatment.

So, we found our better way.

And then, Nehal developed fibroids.

Nehal’s fibroids diagnosis gave us an insight into our patients’ experience that informs everything we do today. When Nehal had to move between doctor after doctor, office after office, simply to receive treatment, we realized that there was no uniform destination for women to go to for the treatment of fibroids.

Our path forward was clear: create one singular destination for fibroids treatment—and Viva Eve was born.

Empowering every woman, from our patients to our staff.

We gained another invaluable understanding from Nehal’s experience: medical expertise by itself isn’t enough to give women the healthcare they deserve. Women deserve warmth, empathy, and comfort from their Ob/Gyn, along with expert medical care.

Nehal not only helped create Viva Eve, but also leads it with a vision of empowering every woman who comes through our doors, from patient to staff. We created a place where women of all ages and diversities could both come to for treatment and find a career, championing career development from within. We are only team players.

She’s the voice behind our “patient-first philosophy,” having experienced fibroids and her own healthcare journey as a woman. With her guidance, our team has embraced the philosophy to ask, listen and learn. We know from personal experience that going to the Ob/Gyn can be scary or uncomfortable, no matter how old you are or how many times you’ve been. Our focus on a warm and welcoming environment, from our kind staff to the fresh fruit water, to even the heated toilets in our restroom, all works to put you first.

We are, and always will be, your advocate.

Embarking on our latest adventure.

Since opening our first set of doors in 1986, our first goal has always been to help as many women as possible live longer and better lives. In 2021, though our name may have changed and our locations are expanding, our core beliefs remain the same – to exceed patient expectations.

Today, as the unified Viva Eve, we promise to always stand with you, to educate and empower you, and to always advocate for you in your choice—whether it’s choosing a fibroid treatment or simply enjoying your visit.
