About Dr. Hiamine (Minnie) Maass
Born in Brazil, and moving to the United States at an early age, Dr. Maass quickly became interested in different languages and cultures. While in high school, she became involved in volunteer work internationally which introduced her to women’s health issues around the world, leading her to dedicate her career to providing access, education and quality health care to women of all ages. As a women’s health advocate and specialist, Dr. Maass aims at promoting health education and empowering women in regards to their sexual, reproductive and overall health in order to achieve optimal quality of life.
She attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health with specializations in women’s health and global health policy. She continued her medical education at Nova Southeastern University, where she was elected into the Sigma Sigma Phi national medical honor society, as well as graduating top of her class in 2017. She then received comprehensive training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health Care System in New Jersey. She is a DaVinci Robotic trained and certified surgeon, with a great interest in all minimally invasive procedures. She is also passionate about high risk pregnancies, adolescent health, reproductive health and other complex gynecological issues.
Interested in education and research Dr. Maass also serves as a Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell School of Medicine and as an Attending Physician at Mount Sinai West and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also continues to work with several international organizations to provide access to health care to underserved populations as well as providing clinical training to midwives, physicians and other clinical staff internationally.
She is a female gynecologist in Queens NYC.

I’m really passionate about women’s rights and women’s health. I believe in empowering women to make their own choices, and ultimately, want to be that positive force that helps them achieve their goals.
